Join the Club des Cent Cols
The Club des Cent Cols brings together people who are passionate about mountains, freedom and adventure by bike. More than just a list of passes, it's a state of mind! On this page, you'll find all the information you need to join us.
The Club is...
- An association of people who are passionate about mountain bikingfounded in 1972, bringing together cyclists from all over the world united by their love of climbing.
- A philosophy based on discovery, conquering mythical or lesser-known passes and exploring valleys rich in history and culture.
- A personal challenge consisting of cycling over at least one hundred different mountain passes, including five at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, to become a member of the brotherhood.
- A wide range of cycling activities: road bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, tandems or handbikes, as long as the effort is made using muscle power alone.
- A community that values simplicity, friendship, sharing a common passion and exchanging information on routes and passes to discover.
- Access to resources such as mountain pass catalogues, permanent tours, brevets and challenges to enhance your mountain biking experience.
... and what the Club is not
- A club reserved for an elite group of cyclists, it is open to anyone who shares the love of mountain biking and wants to take on the challenge of a hundred passes.
- A competition: here, there are no stopwatches or records to beat. The emphasis is on the pleasure of discovery and personal achievement, not on sporting performance.
- An activity reserved for the initiated: the club is open to all cycling enthusiasts, whatever their age or level.
- A simple collection: crossing a pass also means discovering unique panoramas, sharing friendly moments and immersing yourself in the cultural richness of the regions you cross.
- A rigid structure imposing specific routes; each member is free to choose their own routes and the passes they wish to climb, in compliance with the "Rules of the Game".
