The "double declaration" of collars
1 - The facts
In 10 to 20% of online declarations official, some passes emerge with an alert seen by the Territorial Delegate (TD) who indicates that the pass was previously registered as "official". Code ". This means that the user has registered this pass as crossed in the past and is declaring it again (double declaration).
2 - Reminder
Since the introduction of online declarations, we have two tools for registering collars in our personal space.
- The tool Registration of other passes
This tool is designed to record passes that have already been declared and validated by the TDs before using the online tools. The status of the passes concerned is " Code "in the list of passes climbed. - The tool Official statement
This tool is used to record new passes, including those that have been forgotten (i.e. never declared), and submit them to the TDs for validation. There are two types of online declaration, partial or final. The status of the passes concerned in the list of passes climbed is then " On hold "for a partial declaration and Declared "for a final declaration.
In the passes climbedThe state of the pass will change according to the actions of the user and/or the DT, but there can only be one state at a time. There are five possible states: Code ; On hold ; Declared ; Accepted ; Refused.
3 - Recommendations to users
Double declarations can lead to corrections (see paragraph 4) and/or errors that can easily be avoided by paying attention to the messages in the tool when making the declaration. official statement from a list. If we officially declare a pass already registered as " code "You receive two alerts.
- Visit first stage which corresponds to the submission of the declaration, the collar appears in the list of collars with the word " in red ". code "in the column current state.

At this stage you have the option of correcting the list if the declaration of this collar is an error.
Tip If you have a long list of collars, clicking on the heading current stateThe collars will be sorted by condition. Clicking on categoryYou can group them by category.
- Visit second stage which corresponds to the record in the list, the tool sends an alert.

If the collar declaration is an error, do not click on OKbut on Cancel to return to correcting the list.
4 - Analysis and corrections
However, if the user saves the list as is, the TD is alerted.

In this case, before validating, the TD will ask the following question:
"Did you cross this pass for the first time this year?"
- If the answer is YESThis means that the collar was in the list of old collars by mistake (e.g. a code error when you entered it).
In this case, the TD ignores the alert and validates the pass, which is counted towards the Roll of Honour. - If the answer is NOIn this case, the collar must be removed from the official declaration to avoid it being counted a second time on the Roll of Honour.
To do this, go to the passes climbed and select the collar in the left-hand column (delete), then Register.

At this stage, the pass has disappeared from the list of climbed passes, so you need to save it again using the Registration of other passes to find it in its " code You'll also find the "new" pass in the list of passes climbed. For the record, the passes indicative are not subject to DT.
5 - Miscellaneous
- Who makes the corrections?
Users have all the information they need to correct their error, and if they run into difficulties, they can ask their TD for help. The TD also has all the information he needs to correct the error, which is very useful when he is making the declaration online on behalf of the member. - Information :
Having registered this pass with the official declaration has overwritten the old data attached to the pass (status, date of passage, year of declaration). You will therefore need to find this data in your personal archives if you wish to register it again. - Information for TDs :
In the case of a double declaration, TDs are advised not to refuse the collar, as it would then be included in the list of collars with a " refused ". This statement would not reflect the reality of the member's list.
