Introduction to the region :
After 2012 and 2017, Haute-Savoie will once again be welcoming us for the Club des Cent Cols autumn break. We'll be staying at a Cap France establishment, "Les Balcons du Lac", in the hills above Sevrier, overlooking Lake Annecy. 2022 is a special year because our Confrérie will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Fifty years of passion, fifty years of friendship Perched high above the lake with the purest waters in Europe, this holiday village is the perfect base from which to explore Haute-Savoie. Nestled between the lake and the mountains, Annecy’s medieval historic centre is the perfect place for a stroll and a spot of exploration. With its cobbled streets, colourful houses and iconic buildings, the “Venice of the Alps” is a town steeped in history. As you stroll along Annecy’s canals, lined with elegant 17th-century mansions, let the stories of its rich past unfold before you. The lake invites you to explore its nature reserves, teeming with local flora and fauna. On the Roc de Chère, a promontory jutting out into the lake, a family walk will introduce you to a variety of tree species. Just half an hour’s drive away, discover the unique panorama of the Semnoz with a 360-degree view of the Northern Alps and the Jura. On a half-day excursion, you can also explore the area’s charming little villages and local crafts, not forgetting the local cheese, ‘la tome des Bauges’. On the shores of Lake Annecy, enjoy a cycle path stretching over 40 km as you explore the region’s hamlets and beaches.
The Programme
