Rassemblement nationale Belgique/Nationale bijeenkomst België, Geraardsbergen/Grammont, 17/9/2022

The national meeting of the Club des Cent Cols will take place on Saturday 17 September at Grammont. Meet at 9.30am (venue to follow) The route will take us to the Col de la croix Jubaru BE-WHT-0099 (Tournai). We'll pass a few bergs (no passes ☹) that are famous thanks to the Tour of Flanders (Mur, Bosberg...). Each participant will receive a local beer and a tarte aux maton (Grammontoise speciality)

De nationale bijeenkomst van de Club des Cent Cols zal plaatvinden op zaterdag 17 september te Geraardsbergen. Afspraak om 9u30 (plaats zal later gecommuniceerd worden) Er zal een parcours uitgetekend worden waarbij we naar de Col de la croix Jubaru BE-WHT-0099 (Doornik) rijden. Onderweg kunnen we enkele beklimmingen (geen cols ☹) doen die bekend zijn van de Ronde van Vlaanderen (De muur, bosberg, ....). Elke deelnemer krijgt een plaatselijk biertje en een mattetaart (Geraardbergse specialiteit).

Zoals eerder werd aangekondigd gaat de nationale bijeenkomst van onze Club in België door op zaterdag 17/9 te Geraardsbergen.

Geraardsbergen, een in wielermiddens bekend en zelfs wat mythisch stadje met zijn beruchte "Muur".

This organisation is open to both Club members and new members. Iedereen mag dus vrienden of kennissen meebrengen

We gaan samen (in 1 of 2 groepen) een fietstocht van ongeveer 110km doen. We rijden via rustige wegen richting Doornik tot aan de Mont Saint-Aubert (145m). We pass the Col du Croix du Jubaru (99m), the first pass to be discovered in Belgium by the CCC.

Op de Mont Saint Aubert zal de bevoorrading (drankje en wat koeken) aangeboden worden door de wielerclub Audax Tournai. Zij vieren hun erkenning als "Société Royale" omwille van hun 50-jarig bestaan. Wie zin heeft kan de zondag "Bébert du Mont Saint-Aubert" worden door 5 keer een parcours van 5km af te leggen.

We go via andere landelijke wegen terug naar Geraardsbergen. Wie nog zin heeft kan in schoonheid eindigen en de beruchte Muur nog beklimmen. Je moet dit minstens 1 keer in je leven gedaan hebben.

After the fire, you need to be prepared to take care of yourself.

In 's Avonds, we would like to meet people who want to go to the Hemelrijk, the wielercafé on the wall (prices for food and drink: 30 to 40 euro).

Wat praktische info:

• Uur van samenkomst : 9u30
• Plaats van samenkomst: Cafe 't BIT op de Markt 17 in Geraardsbergen
• Uur van vertrek : 10u
• Plaats van vertrek: Markt van Geraadsbergen.
• Het parcours is niet bewegwijzerd, maar een GPS-file zal aan deelnemers doorgestuurd worden en ook op de website van de Club terug te vinden zijn.
• Alle deelnemers krijgen bij vertrek een koffie en croissant. In the meantime, you'll be able to enjoy the finest Geraardsberg cuisine.
• For leden van de CCC is deelname gratis, voor de niet-leden is deelnameprijs 5 euro.

Wij zouden graag een seintje krijgen van jullie

• met bevestiging van deelname aan deze fietstocht en met hoeveel.
• of jullie 's avonds zouden aanschuiven aan tafel in het Hemelrijk.

 Dear members of the Club des Cent Cols,

 As previously announced, our Club's national meeting in Belgium will take place on Saturday 17 September at Grammont (Geraardsbergen).

Grammont, a town that is well known as a cycling legend, with its fearsome "Muur". The event is open to Club members and non-members alike. So anyone can come along with friends or acquaintances.

We'll be cycling together (in 1 or 2 groups) for around 110km on quiet roads towards Tournai, as far as Mont Saint-Aubert (145m). We'll be passing over the Croix Jubaru pass (99m), the first pass recognised by the CCC in Belgium.

At Mont Saint Aubert, the Audax Tournai Cycling Club, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a "Royal Society", is providing cycling supplies (biscuits and drinks). Anyone who wants to can become a "Béberts du Mont Saint Aubert", by completing at least 5 laps of the local 5km circuit!

We then return to Grammont (Geraardsbergen) via other rural roads. If you still feel like it, you can finish on a high note by climbing the famous "Muur". You have to have done it!

After the bike ride, you can take a shower.

In the evening, at around 7.30pm, we'll meet at "Hemelrijk", the cyclists' café on the Muur. With a meal for those who wish (starter + main course between 30 and 40 euros).

Practical information:

• Meeting time: 9.30am - Meeting point: Café BIT on the Grammont market (Geraardsbergen)
• Departure time: 10am - Departure point: Grammont market (Geraardsbergen)
• The route is not signposted, but a GPS file will be sent to participants and can also be consulted on the Club's website.
• All participants receive a coffee and croissant at the start. On the way back, everyone will be offered a real "Tarte à matons" from Grammont.
• Participation is free for CCC members. Non-members pay €5.
